$5000 Grant obtained

Emerald Packaging received a $5000 grant from Alameda County public agency StopWaste.org in early July. The monies will be used to buy nearly 600 PVC cores, or tubes, which will slash the use of cardboard cores in the company’s production process. Cores are used to wind up plastic rolls during the printing process. By drastically reducing the use of cardboard, the company cuts the paper used to make those cores. It also slices the amount of cardboard going into landfills. Just another example of how our company is pushing the envelope on sustainable practices.
