Prepress

Our experienced team can create original designs for your product or work with your artists to tailor existing designs according to press specifications. Either way, our goal is to ensure high-quality results that effectively communicate our customers’ brands and messages. We also create custom plates in a variety of materials and sizes, including digital photo-polymer plates and plates in the round.

Printing

Emerald Packaging has two of the most modern eight color printing presses on the west coast. Our 64” wide German manufactured Windmoeller & Hoelscher press operates at speeds greater than 1200 fpm. Our 50” wide Spanish Comexi press runs up to 1200 fpm, and is fully sleeved for quick change. Both have automated print defect detection and bar code verification systems. Both can print up to 133 line screen. We also have two high speed six color presses as well.

Inks

We use solvent-based inks that deliver glossy, scuff-resistant images and high-precision print, as well as specialty heat-resistant inks for microwaveable products. For every job, our printing experts create customized color standards and monitor accuracy throughout the printing process with the X-Rite color control system.
